I love this turbo brick. Can’t drive it on the streets yet, so I’ve been spending a lot of time just sitting inside. And Maaaaaybe a few runs up and down my parking lot.
Currently sc ouring the interwebs f or 850 jump seats so I can seat 7 in style. They’re pretty trick. They fold into the spare tire area, so if you don’t have the jump seats in use, they take up zero space in back.

I love t he styling of the G35/7 coupe . I can’t see myself ever buying one though. Too big and point n' shoot to be a proper sportscar, not luxurious enough to be a good GT car, mediocre visibility and lacking that “open, airy cabin feel” that seemed to die off after the 90's.

On hold for now unless the ansolute perfect thing pops up locally... Some house stuff came up (or rather, I sat down and actually figured out what house stuff I already knew about will cost ) so my fun budget isn’t quite what I thought it was.

Have the intake noises made you go crazy yet? I had that same setup on my car and it lasted two days before I sold it. I honestly think the stock airbox is more effective. Looking at the picture it looks like you need to reinsert the plastic pipe from the grille into the intake filter housing thingy.
I had the third row seats as well. Keep in mind you will need to have the latch insert in the second row seatback in order to hold the third row seatback up. You can’t buy it new, so you’ll have to find one at a junkyard or something and then you’ll have to cut the seatback carpet to install it . Also, there is very little chance a full sized human could fit back there. What I’m trying to say is that it’s not worth the trouble...
Looks very clean under the hood. Does it have silicone intercooler hoses? The rubber hoses can get soft enough (if they are old) to collapse under boost.

It’s not too bad. The exhaust is a bit loud for my tastes though. Unsure what I’m going to do about that at the moment. Yes, silicone intercooler hoses too.
That is gorgeous. I really want to get a good look at a first gen v 70 next to this 850. They seem so similar. Fold down booster seat?! What?? I was just starting to get over how cool the seat back netting is and you show me that?? Any other crazy options these things came with?

That Obx exhaust is fairly cheap, but you do get the sweet five cylinder burble at idle with it.
The 850 and the 1998 V70 are exactly the same with the exception of the sheet metal and the interior. The 1999 and 2000 had drive by wire instead of a cable throttle. They also have an upgraded ECU. Some say those are better but the electronic throttle is a known failure point.
You could get heated rear seats in the V70, not sure if it was available in the 850.

E46 330i. Not that I’m biased toward E46's....
